Counting 1 to 20
Continue the counting journey from 11 to 20. Each number has a name, a shape, and a story.
1Numbers 11 to 15
After 10, we start a new family of numbers. Eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. Each one is just a little bit more than the last.
Look at the pictures. Count the objects out loud. Try to hear the rhythm of the numbers as you say them.
2Numbers 16 to 20
Sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, and finally twenty. Twenty is special — it is two groups of ten!
When you can count to 20, you can count almost anything in your daily life: toys, steps, friends, stars.
3Counting practice
Try counting backwards from 20 to 1. That is a fun challenge! It helps your brain understand that numbers can go both ways.
Count objects around you: how many books on the shelf? How many fingers on both hands? How many steps from your bed to the door?
