1Family Words
In Indonesian, family words are warm and specific. "Ayah" means father. "Ibu" means mother. "Kakak" means older sibling. "Adik" means younger sibling.
Indonesian also has special words for grandparents: "Kakek" for grandfather and "Nenek" for grandmother. Family is very important in Indonesian culture!
2Food Words
Indonesian food is delicious! "Nasi" means rice. "Air" means water. "Susu" means milk. "Roti" means bread. "Buah" means fruit.
Some Indonesian food words are famous around the world: "satay" (sate), "nasi goreng" (fried rice), and "rendang" are loved everywhere.
3Animal Words
Animals in Indonesian: "kucing" (cat), "anjing" (dog), "burung" (bird), "ikan" (fish), "sapi" (cow), "kambing" (goat).
Indonesia has amazing animals you might not find elsewhere: "komodo" (the Komodo dragon), "orangutan" (forest person), and "harimau" (tiger).
